It’s been a busy time for me. Even if you’re not seeing a journal entry every day, they’re happening. Some are just private. I’m realizing that I need to bite off fewer bits of what I’m working on so I don’t burn out. Today was a struggle to get going. In addition to what I’m doing with the Irish Pagan School, I’m also reading three books: Anti-Diet by Christy Harrison, Journey to the Dark Goddess by Jane Meredith and Atomic Habits by James Clear. All of these books are related to spiritual or health (mental and physical) goals I’ve set for the year. I’m also reading Seanan McGuire’s Middlegame for relaxation.
Give an introvert time off, and books will be read, online classes taken, videogames played, and new music explored. Photojournies may happen on Instagram. Tweets might Twitter.
This is not to make light of why I have this time – it’s just my recipe for not going insane, feeling absolutely helpless and useless, and otherwise falling apart.
What’s your strategy?
