Today is Jeff’s 35th birthday. Happy birthday to you, honey. No, you’re not 26, and frankly, I’m glad! 😉

Last night he asked what kind of card Jasmine would have gotten him. I think I will go to the store and see what I can find for him. For sure it would have been something that made him laugh. I don’t think Gabrielle realizes it’s his birthday, so I’ll let her in on it when she gets home. I stamped him a card last night and maybe she would like to make one for him too.

I picked up rubber stamping right after Jasmine died. I wanted to make thank you cards (I’m still working on them) that were more personal. I think I found a new outlet of expression in buying those first few stamps. I joined a few online lists for stampers and scrapbookers and really enjoy the conversations. Scrapbooking seems like a good way to express some of my feelings and to celebrate not just Jasmine’s life, but our life as a family. When I get home from Jamaica, I will be attacking those pockets of pictures we have randomly tucked here and there.

Speaking of Jamaica, we leave for Chicago tomorrow. Our flight goes out butt-early on Friday morning, so we are staying over in Chicago. We meet my parents at the airport tomorrow afternoon. I’m looking forward to seeing them.
